Enerim takes steps towards streamlining SaaS solutions offering by divesting its Wholesale Markets business.
Enerim Oy increases its strategic focus on the company’s End User Markets business line and automated SaaS solutions by divesting its Wholesale Markets business line to Volue. The divestment allows Enerim to enhance focus on strengthening its position as a leading services and software partner for utility companies in northern Europe.
Today, Enerim’s End User Markets business line offers a market-leading SaaS software, developed particularly to support energy and utility companies’ customer management and billing processes. With an increased focus on the company’s highly automated SaaS solutions offerings within End User Markets, Enerim is set to grow by expanding the client base across key markets, and through focused investments for new geographical market adaptations and offering development.
“This transaction marks the next step for Enerim towards increasing the focus on our strategic End User Markets business, which empowers utility companies to successfully respond to market changes and evolving consumer demands brought about by the energy transition. The transaction enables us to accelerate our growth journey towards our vision to become the most trusted advisory based services and software partner for utility companies in northern Europe. Meanwhile, I am pleased that Volue will continue to develop the Wholesale Markets business and serve its customers going forward”, commented Pentti Unkuri, CEO at Enerim.
Enerim’s Wholesale Markets business is the Finnish market leader in energy market services with over 50 years of experience. The business line covers a wide portfolio of leading energy market services, and the energy management system EnerimEMS.
The Wholesale Markets business is divested to Volue, headquartered in Oslo, Norway. Volue is a market leader in technologies and services that enable its customers to succeed in the energy transition. Volue will offer excellent conditions to further grow Enerim’s energy market services and systems in the Nordics.
The transaction is expected to close around 30 June 2023.
