Enerim Oy increases its strategic focus on the company’s End User Markets business line and automated SaaS solutions by divesting its Smart Meter Operations business line to Aidon Oy. The divestment allows Enerim to fully focus on strengthening its position as a leading software and services partner for utility companies in northern Europe.

Following Enerim’s growth strategy the company will now fully focus on its market-leading SaaS software, developed particularly to support energy and utility companies’ customer management and billing processes. Enerim is set to grow by expanding the client base across key markets, and through focused investments in new geographical market adaptations and offering development.

With this transaction we can fully focus on our strategic End User Markets business and accelerate our growth journey towards our vision to become the most trusted software partner for utility companies in northern Europe. I’m pleased that Aidon, who has excellent qualifications to further develop and grow Enerim’s Smart Meter Operations in Finland, will serve our customers going forward”, commented Pentti Unkuri, CEO at Enerim.

Enerim’s Smart Meter Operations business, covering smart meter management and operations, is divested to Aidon, a leading supplier of state-of-the-art smart metering and smart grid solutions for energy distribution network operators. Enerim will transfer its business assets, including 20 employees, to Aidon and continues to provide services until the transaction is completed. The transaction is expected to close by the end of October 2023.

“Aidon’s strategy is to develop a strong service and software business alongside advanced smart grid technology. Our services business is based on the advances enabled by digitalisation.  The acquisition will further strengthen Aidon’s leading position as a measurement services provider in the Finnish market. The acquired business will become part of Aidon’s Service unit, strengthening our service organisation,” says Tommi Blomberg, CEO, Aidon Oy.
