CtS – How do we measure “cost to serve”?
“Cost to serve” is a key metric for tracking customer service efficiency. It focuses on how much manual work is required to serve customers. We track the total amount of manual user interface (UI) usage in EnerimCIS system. This is calculated in full-time equivalent (FTE) man-hours and divided by the number of end-customers served, providing a clear FTE-per-customer metric.
By tracking cost to serve we can visualize how automation helps companies to scale without adding to staff. In addition, visualizations show trends, changes over time, and peer benchmarking to highlight areas for improvement.
How do we monitor processing performance?
Processing performance indicates how efficiently the system handles mass operations by measuring the speed and reliability of converting meter data to invoice data, as well as the performance of invoice generation. These metrics help us proactively detect performance drops and enable us to take corrective actions before they impact operations.
Straight Through Processing (STP) Index – what is it and how do we use it?
The STP index measures the percentage of automated processes that are interrupted and require manual intervention. By analyzing frequent interruptions in processes such as invoicing, contract creation, customer moves, and price or product changes, we can identify root causes and implement changes to boost automation levels across core business processes.
